Full body workouts

I was thinking about mixing in some maybe 2 or 3 times a week for a week of two to swap things up and get a change of pace, has anyone tried this at all and if so what did you think about it.
 
When I was in my early 20s I would a full body workout once a week. I got good results
 
I do complex movements (3 or more movements in one and generally cover full body) on days I feel I can't really concentrate on a single group (due to fatigue, time, any number of reasons). I like them, really get's your cardio kicking!!
 
I will do them when it doesn't look like I will have time for the gym that week. Im way more busy in the spring/summer months with family so the weekend which are sometimes make up days will become full body workout days. I really try hard not to miss a week of working major muscle groups
 
I use to do them on fridays before i would go work security at the clubs,lol, i know it sounds Gay just typing it now, but alas i was in my early 20's and getting laid after work every night, so i yes i use to do full body workouts but just for the pump before going out or to work, it was gay then and sounds gayer now! lol

lol yeah so no one hurts my feminine side lol actually I think certain words to edit automatically were built into the vbulletin license and purchase , I just never removed them, I think the "N" word was built in to edit to and I may add CRACKER to that list lol
 
I've never had the energy to do full body workouts...I think your body only has so much energy and you can't go all out on any given body part and expect to have energy for the rest of the workout...

though it would be great for cardio if you really pushed yourself

I remember when the gym was packed Friday night with the chest and arms guys, now days the place is a freaking ghost town.

lol, though i always worked out alone or with my wife, and never in groups, i did however do the full body blast for Da Clubs, lmao. However in my defense my clubbing era was 11-12 years ago when ECSTACY and Dance/club/House,Techno Music was the shit and we would DANCE for hours on end blasted on ECSTACY WITH NO SHIRTS ON.......SO THE FULL BODY FRIDAY WORKOUT WAS A NECESSITY!! Lmao

Seriously though I've been doing a lot of compound movements and olympic lifts lately for functional strength and things like Thrusters, although not a "full body workout" really do use a lot of muscle groups and I've been seeing results like never before.

Im too beat up to do Olympic lifts anymore but I use to do a few exercises
