Seriously?!!? My fat friends, fat wife just referred to me as Man-O-Rexic. Just because I've inspired her husband to get into a fitness routine and he's been working out regularly and running and trying to eat cleaner. He was so fat that just a few days a week of cardio and cutting back on the beer and he lost 20lbs. in a month. He just told me she said, "you're not going to become Man-O-rexic, like Mike are you?"

I'd love to tell her just exercising and taking care of yourself is not a disorder and to go fuck herself but she's fucking herself anyway because she's an annoying pain in the ass and once her husband loses the weight maybe he'll lose her.

I was just about to post this. that's exactaly why she is saying that. chances are she's a hoss and doesn't want him to get in shape and find out that he can do better because her lazy ass doesn't want to train.

I think many people resent those that are dedicated and have results to show from it. There is a preconceived notion we are masochistic and need to suffer and deprive ourselves. This opinion is usually of those out of shape, unmotivated and generally ignorant to a fitness lifestyle. This is normal, in that people fear what they do not understand and many times, you're made to feel strange, weird or different by those people due to their insecurities. That's OK. You should be used to that treatment, I am.

well I am masochistic and feel that I need to make myself suffer but that's not why I train. ;) lmao!

Kat Williams had a great comedy piece on haters.

"so what she/he keeps talking about you and hating on you. What do you think a "hater's" job is..to hate. if u have someone hating on u right now u better think of how to get 5 more ppl hating by Christmas. You need haters to make you stronger..w/o haters most ppl wouldn't try to become better. Just tell them "b*tch u just hate me b/c u can't be me..."

^ Nice. I can't say they're all 'haters' so to speak, but that insecurity/inferiority complex they have can sure get to be a bit much!

Misery loves company. IF she's happy to be fat and inactive, she wants everyone around her to be inactive. The worst thing in the world are the proud to be fat people. I get so self conscience if I get a little above 12% bodyfat. I couldn't imagine being fat. But some people love being inactive and poke fun at people who actually care about themselves by trying to make them feel bad about it. MY girl doesn't like me going to the gym as much as I do, but it's like I told her, the gym was in my life before her and it can certainly be there after her so what she wants in between is all on her

I never pushed fitness or nutrition on anyone. Over time I realize that many of the people that are not like you and misunderstand what it is you do or what drives you to the measures you take or lifestyle you live which in their eyes seems "extreme" or "excessive" often later are the ones to ask you about it and seek advice from you. They begin to find your comfort and confidence in your passions attractive and soon, they wish to seek that for themselves. Not always, but many times. Be true to yourself, your goals and remember to respect their ways as you wish them to respect yours whether you agree or not. In other words, be humble, do your work and sooner or later, they might surprise you.

I've gotten that from girls before. and I always tell them, "listen. if I didn't train and didn't look the way I do you never would have approached me.". of course they all call BS until I show them my "before" pic. innevitably jaws drop and the conciede me to be correct.

Yeah, those people feel better about being fat and lazy ass when someone else is fat like them, but as soon as one starts trying to improve their situation the other one has to deal with thier own self worth, which they hate, so they try everything they can to try and pull the other one down to feel better again about being a fat ass.

I'm just glad he's taking care of himself, the guy was a heart attack waiting to happen. All good points from you guys though and kept me from feeling bad about some of my behaviour around others!
