Public Vs. Private

basically...FML

I live in a gated private community with a pretty bad ass private community gym. We have the typical machines however the only free weight multipurpose machine was removed yesterday bc the community does not want to pay $200+ dollars to replace the worn saftey cables, WTF... I would have paid it...

95% of my work outs used this free weight machine and now the fucker is gone...I loved that had bench, squats, butterfly, tricep pull downs and about 20 other things basically it had the whole 9 yards... so now Im faced with joining a public gym as there is no ETA for the community to replace the machine I loved...and I'm not really a public kind of gym guy, I simply HATE being disturbed at the gym...its the only time of day where I have to myself, I dont want gym people trying to up sell me on shit...I just want a quiet place to go.. the other shitty downside is I have to drive there, cant walk to the gym...lol

I hate places like Golds, thinking about this local place thats 24/7 for $199 a year, how does the pricing sound??

You just got sucker punched man wow. How did you find out? Did you go to work out and the machine was just gone? Were they dissasembling it as you stood there in your bicycle shorts and wife beater like a slackjawed numbnut? $199 is good if you can lock it in for a while. I've been paying $480 a year for 3 years now since bally's went corrupt I mean bankrupt. I was paying $4.50 a month locked in since 1989 then bam gone. No wonder they went bankrupt people like me had contracts like that.

thats dirt cheap bro! I pay $88 a month for my wife and My membership! and we also put down like $125 , maybe each, can't remember lol, but shit we pay an arm and a leg for our memberships! but the gym is super nice, has everything under the sun and no one is ever there! But yeah $199 a year is awesome

That's cheap bro. We pay $145 a month for family. It's a nice place but we only go there because the kid programs, pools and amenities for them. Golds near us went to $10 a month and a lot of members left because of the crowd that attracted. Sometimes it's worth to pay a little more. Our may be a gym chain but the db's go up to 150lb and when you get to that price you filter out dumbasses.

Ya know a pair of Bens a year to WO great price......the gym I have is $34/month for 12 months or $30/month for 24 months, our weight loss program more $

I say go for it. Thats not so bad $$.

I pay $190 for a year for both my wife and I to go to our local rec center. She gets us a huge discount due to her physical ailments.
Id pay $199 a year for 24/7 access...thats a great deal imo.
