Research in bodybuilding/lifting

What 99% of people don't understand about the iron sports is how much damn research goes into this. I've played 3 sports competitively and one at the college level and there isn't anything close.

Learning your body for size or strength - so much goes into this. Diet takes years. Training style takes years. And they both take years because they all work ( the different diets and training styles), but they all don't work for you.

The drugs can be safe (and I mean everything from gear to otc fat burners to aminos - they can all fuck you up if you abuse or misuse on purpose or by accident), but only at small dosages and only if you research the absolute hell out of it.

I can't tell you how many pubmed articles I've read and how many forum posts I've poured over.

I love doing all of this and this isn't a rant, but the research piece is why nobody has any respect for our world. People think we just go into the gym lift insanely heavy weights, grunt, whistle a women, curse, and pose. Well, we may do all that, but that's after putting in all the research.

If you've taken tuna to a movie theater or neglected your social life for iron you are part of the iron brotherhood and know what I mean.

Yep I just posted something close to that the other day, in that the freakier big and jacked a guy or gal is the smarter I know they are and well versed in the human body inside and out! So I couldn't agree more! Though I've not brought tuna to a movie theater I have brought boneless chicken breasts Tupperware lol

Haha yeah I remember reading that and agreeing. Hell, some of these pros have to be smart just to still be alive right now.
 
Nothing could be closer to the truth. I was speaking with one of our Pathologists last week about IGF and other things just generally. He stopped half way through our conversation and said Damn, you really know alot about diet, nutrition and weight lifting huh??

We have to be smart and stay up on all our diet and training. Alot of the time, we are our own Doctor so to speak......
 
LMAO Austin guys I worked w/ thought I was a moron till they heard me talk on BBing lifting science etc... LMAO they were like "Ur like a genius meathead" I've researched A LOT but diets PLS PLS PLS someone either cook my meals of give me a way to achieve a BBing diet... I dirty bulked a lot 4 powerlift n football bc I could eat n not get fat... Were talkin' fast food ED 2-3x! Along w/ gainers protein bars & home made foods... The only diet I had zero problems w/ was Keto bc I got used to 12 carbs ED Once I did refeed................... It was all over LMAO. If they guys @ my gym knew my diet SMH they'd be surprised I'm not 100lbs overweight & disappointed that I'm not "health conscious" I'm motivated to change things up I want that 7% BF!!!!!!!!!!!
