Acne Help

I'm curious what people have had success treating acne caused by AAS. Specially chest and upper back area. Have tried most topical treatments. They work for face but I can't stand the acne on the shoulders and chest. Was thinking off trying accutane, but have heard it can be a pretty rough from a few people.

I had it bad on my upper arm and shoulder a few years back. I read that taking Vitamin B5 aka Pantothenic Acid took care of it when taken in large doses. You have to take 20 a day so I broke it down to 5 pills 4x's a day. It really did help! I was pleasantly surprised. I found a place online that had it for pretty cheap. I'll pm you the info if ya want.

I never got acne on my back or face or really anywhere , so i guess I'm fortunate, but every once in a while i would get a big ole blind type pimple that you couldn't really see but it hurt, anyhow i used Topical accutane from Mexico and it was amazing! dried the shit out fast and made it disappear, not sure thats an option for ya or available to ya but topical accutane was amazing

Yes that would be great, that sounds like the healthiest solution ive heard of. thx

I didnt think there was a topical accutane, I was under the impression it wasd a pill you took for a few months. Ill ask my doc about that.

I got pretty bad acne on my back/neck/chest at the beginning of my cycle, and I was able to get rid of it 100% within about 1 week by using:

Neutrogena Facial Bar in the shower after using regular body wash.
Astringent after shower.
Cetaphil Facial Cleanser before bed
Astrigent after Cetaphil

I have continued this, and it has kept the acne away.
I hope this helps

everytime i post about this, someone always says they never heard of topical accutane, strange, in any case maybe cause it was from Mexico, plus this was a long long time ago!

I found out whatnot he topical Accutane was I was just used to hearing it called retin-A

you might be right brutha, it was so damn long ago i can't remember , lol, but that might be the name of it

I'm trying the b5 silk recommended it came today I'll post results so people know if they ever want to try it

been using the B% and i have seen results, not a100% cleared up, but much clearer. Had the Doc this morning and he gave me "topical Accutane" Retin-A and thank god for insurance because that tube was 580$$ generic without insurance. So im hoping this will clear up the rest. I am going to keep going with the B5 because supposedlydoing a few months of this makes you way less prone to breakouts in the future

I suffer from cystic acne (large bumps) until after years of research and frustration with prescription pill & over the counter creams I discovered Vitamin B5 aka Pantothenic Acid. I take 2 pill
@ 500mg per day and I'm glad to report my skin is free & clear. I occasionally get a bump here or there but for the most part it keep me looking pretty.:)

did you always take only 500mg a day? or at first did u mega dose for a period of time?

That's a good question kerbq. I started off just taking a few a day with no results. I looked on line and that's where I read 20 a day. I thought that was a lot, but I'm sure you can relate to how I was feeling. I just wanted my skin to clear up.

yeah i have taken 20 a day like u said now a lil over a week and id say about 80% cleared up, i am going to use the cream and maybe take the b5 another 4-5 days, im wondering if taking 500mg a day is like maintenance thing?? to prevent another possible breakout. I am a little prone to acne, being italian i have oily skin to begin with.

In the beginning you do need to increase the dose, but I only did 3 pills a day it took 30 days before I noticed results within 60 days my skin was clear 90 days just an occasional bump here & there!

Topical-accutane Retin-A (tretinoin) point 1% is absolutely amazing, the b5 cleared me up for the most part but had a few spots that were just pretty bad two days of applying the cream completely gone, like it was never there
