Does anyone know how or what to say while giving blood that way they will throw it away. Basically because your on gear and your blood is to thick?

not sue, why you want them to throw your blood away? kind of lost by what you mean

Typically, the only reasons to have them throw it away are reasons you would be deferred from even giving blood, and you may find you could then be indefinitely deferred. You'd then have to go to your doctor to have a phlebotomy done when you want to bring hematocrit down.

If your iron is too high they will toss it and make you go to a doc for teraputic blood donation. Try to donate as much as possible so it will keep that iron and
BP down, plus you can save a life. Someone did and saved mine!

If anyone is going to GenCon soon, they are having a blood drive there. They are calling it "Life Potions" :)

This is true giving blood,it about saved mine! But still have something going on. But Givin blood lowered my blood pressure and took stress off my heart

I've heard that there is something on the paperwork that you mark to have them throw the blood away. For example, say you have HIV and your work is doing a blood drive. You are pressured to donate, but don't want to reveal that you have HIV. So, this way you donate, but you mark on the form that they need to discard your donation.

I've never donated blood, so I'm not sure what all paperwork is actually involved. I used to donate plasma, because there was a place in town that paid you for it, and your body replaces it much more quickly than blood.

If you are talking about the Red Cross, everything is on computers. They keep a detailed record of your BP, heart rate, hemoglobin every time you donate. If you ever even mention that you have "thick blood", they will ban you for life from anymore donating. I don't know who the OP is talking about, but they do not allow you to donate with a BP of 160/90. The Red Cross is a self serving organization and they are not interested in helping you with a medical problem. They are only interested in keeping an image that they want to show to the public. Everyone donates for free, the nurses volunteer for free, they get free space at the Mall when they have a blood drive and get free air time on the local news advertising their blood drive. Then they sell your blood to a hospital for a hefty price.

Shit everytime I give blood I feel like shit for a couple of weeks. And last time my BP was a little high. So they said maybe next time.
