What was your biggest lagging muscle and how did you bring it up?

For me..It's my biceps. I am 6'' tall and my arms are long. My biceps are short and they stop well before my elbow joint. They don't have a great peak to them and I have yet to find the proper way to train them to make them grow the way I want. I often get pain when I curl because all of the tension is on the tendon that sits between the end of my bicep and my elbow joint. I feel if my bicep was longer and there was muscle there, it would be more responsive to such workouts.

What is your biggest lagging body part? What did you do that finally worked at bringing it up?

Let's hear your struggles :)

definitely My Biceps I have a very long bicep and the peak I want is just not there
I want the peak so bbad lol. I've been trying to give more attention to the brachialis by doing hammer curls and 90 degree preachers and whatnot...so we'll see how that goes.

some stuff is genetics and you just have to work harder than others to get the look you want. I have killed my bis for the last six months to get them to grow an 1/2'' and I still barely make 17 ''

Legs for me. I have some trouble with my arms but nowhere near as much as my legs.

Lol, in answer to the question, I suppose I haven't really brought up my leg size so much, but they are strong. The only things that work are heavy squatting, deads, heavy calf raises, etc.

Calf and Hams for me. I was able to bring them up by working them alone and together. Rested day before calf/ham day and rested day after.

So it seems working them more/harder is the key to growth.

I always followed the "less is more" philosophy. Perhaps that only pertains to natural lifters where overtraining is more likely...

Developing the peak in the biceps comes from doing close grip barbell curls. Never sacrifice form.

Whatever the lagging body part, work it on the first day of your workout week (after a rest day) and then do legs the following day. The growth hormone your body releases from doing heavy legs will help those biceps to grow. Make your weak points a priority and they will become your strong points!

Bicepts is my lagging muscle. I work arms twice a week; first workout is heavy, and the second workout is high rep to flush as much blood into the muscle as possible.
