Humulin R better than Humalog?
i used Humalin R and yes it is legal, i guess in case granny is visiting the grand children and needs her insulin, she can go grab the Humalin R, but i never seen Humalog legal anywhere, i always wanted to try it! The long lasting R scared me, worked great but wasn't for me!

not a fan of both of them anymore. i got stuck in traffic one day and it hit super hard, i had someone drive like 110mph on the side the road till a gas station! i took in all my carbs that day but i changed the source of carbs, that might had something to do with it. just not a fan of carrying candy all day and wondering. but the gains were amazing,lol im just not adding it in till im maxed out on food and gear.

I always keep glucose tablet ( you can get a bottle of them at walmart in the diabetic section) they work really fast. I have always used R because it is so cheap and so available. Is humalog easily available, and whay kind of cost? Walmart/Sams has R for $22-25 for 10ml.

I have used both don't like the long acting I use humalog only sides are way easier to control I have a busy job and the long acting r human-r is the only slin that I was so busy I did not have time to get some carbs in agin and went into diabetic shock

The way I understand it, there are two humulins, humulin R and humulin N. The R version peaks at 4 hours and last 8 hours. The N version is the long-acting version that lasts all night. Humalog peaks at 2 hours and lasts 4 hours. (Times are all approximate). I always used Humalog because I knew I could count on when it was going to peak and how long I had to worry about it. I could always feel when its effect was wearing off. Much easier to coordinate meals, workouts, etc. I would think it gets more difficult to plan with these longer acting insulins.
I suppose I'm trying to figure out if they are similar in respect (in a way) to using test prop and test e. If I take 7 iu of Humalog, is that generally the same as taking 7 iu of Humulin R but that the Humulin only spreads it out more over time? My first thought is that you would then have to take more of the Humulin to get the same effect as the Humalog. Would that be true?
