I am a newbie and wanted to introduce myself to everyone and tell everyone a bit about myself. I am 47 ,lineman, work on high voltage power from 4,000-500,000 volts. I had a stroke in 2011 and was on a ventilator for 8 days and my doctor had to come out and tell my wife that it didn't look good. So then she had to some how turn to my 3 beautiful daughters and try to explain to them what was going on. I have to finish this in a bit my wife need's me so I have to go see what she need's , and life is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome Moosse! Wow... A stroke so young. I'm sorry that happened, but it sounds like things are moving in the right direction for you and your family. And yes, life is great!!!

I am curious if you know how or why it happened moose? as stated that is very young to have a stroke.

and whats the difference between a heart attack and a stroke?

A stroke is a blood clot in the brain... a heart attack is bad, but I'd prefer it to a stroke. A stroke can leave areas paralyzed, leave you unable to walk... you lose brain function

you know i never knew that! I always thought a stroke was just another name or the technical name for a heart attack! honest to goodness i had no idea! thnx
