New period in my life

Hi guys! I am an office clerk. For last 10 years I worked in a confortable office conditions sitting in a soft chair. During the work day rarely happened to go out from the office. In this mode of work I didn't monitor my nutrition. By the way I had a constant access to different snacks, thanks to the managers care that they have for us as the employees. Working conditions are good, but I gained in this period +55 pounds :sick:.
My growth 5 ft 10 in, weight 220 pounds :shocked:.
But now my life changed. I am in love in a woman. She is great and for me she is the best!
To tell the truth when we walk together I see her eyes stopped on the guys with the strong body :mad:.
Now I am realy motivated seriously and I want to bring my body put in order.
Tell me about your experience in rapid reset of excess weight. How to do it in a best way? :wave:

Welcome and diet with cardio will do wonders! What are u doing in the gym? How often? What's diet look like

You've got to start somewhere. A gym membership and a clean diet will get you started, but it's a journey not a destination

Your doing good by asking questions like dude said the quick fix is going to be diet. Keep researching and asking questions the effort you put forth will pay off its just how bad do you want it? And don't do it to impress a female (I'm not really the one to be stating that) stay active on forums this is a great one check out logs a do one yourself. If you are new find a gym partner if you can after going a few weeks you see the same guy by himself each time ask him or if not look at what others are doing. I learned so much from other guys at the gym some do have time to help just don't hold them hostage

Flowanne, I can relate to the office setting and sitting 8+ hours a day. My coworkers are always ordering out and bringing in yummy treats. Somehow I'm able to resist the temptation, lol... Anyway, it sounds like you're on the right track so good job :) I agree with the others, clean diet and exercise. Also, lose the weight for you like Iron said. Have you thought about going to the gym with your new love? I train with my hubby, The Dude, and it's so much more than just going to the gym... I really value that time together. As far as her eyes wandering, as you know it's normal to a degree, but if she's constantly doing it right in front of you then that's something that needs to be addressed. But assuming it's an innocent glance, keep using that as motivation to reach your goals. Good luck and please stick around. Lots of good info on MC.

Hi presser!
I am not on diet now :chicken:. I've just started to collect the information.
Regarding the gym, I just plan to go to became a member. I have an experience of practice in gym. But it was 5 years ago and I did for several months only a basic exercises.
Can you give me an advise about a good diet and cardio?

Hi dude!
Sounds great "it's a journey not a destination". I will remember your words, because it seems to be a truth. For sure I will get soon a gym membership. I have a target to slim 30-40 pounds as soon as possible. And I think that I will use three components to reach the goal. I mean physical effort in gym, diet and a steroid course.
Am I right? It will work?

Hi Iron Julius!

I see you have a good personal experience. For sure I will use your advises. I'll try to be very active. You gues knows different secrets. And I understand that each of you had his personal way to achieve success and build a strong body. I hope that with your suggestion I can achieve my personal success.

Can you give me a personal advice about the type of diet, about workout and your suggestion regarding a possible steroid course?

Hi SilkQuads!
Thank you for your opinion. I am totally agree with it. And I like the proposal to go to gym together with my girlfriend. It is really new period in my life!:weight:

Remember, at this point, calories in vs calories burned. Take in Less calories than you burn, and it will guarantee that you start to shrink. Just eat smaller, healthier, and more often. Get that metabolism up and keep moving, even if you aren't lifting weights, keep moving.

Welcome to MuscleChemistry. You will notice no one said anything about steroids but you. There is no quick or easy fix. It will take diet, exercise and consistency. Your body will respond quickly.

@Flowanne Bro, setting a goal, then take your girlfriend to the gym. Combine the resistance training and moderate aerobic activity. Believe me. you will be more handsome after 3 months.

The biggest thing you can do to slim down is cut starches - no breads, pastas, or potatoes. Also no soda and cut back or cut out alcohol. And as Lee Haney said "Consistency and intensity is the key" when it comes to training. Just go to the gym every morning before work and have a strong resolve.

First of all welcome to the site glad to have you here now lets get to work.

#1 you need to get your diet on lockdown and stick to it like your life is on the line. Email 3j at [email protected] and get a consultation with him. Can you look online and come up with a cookie cutter diet that may or may not work for you, of course you can but why? This will be a much quicker process with a professional working with you to achieve your goals.

There is no need to go into workouts at this point until you get your diet cleaned up but at the gym start out with cardio 20 min keeping your heart rate above 135.

Thank you guys for your replies! I really appreciate all of them and I am sure that they will help me in my goals.
At the moment I can boast with my first step. I bought a subscription to the gym:tread:. My first visit is on week that follows. I have emotions like on passing an exam. Uhhhhh....
My girlfriend totally supports me:kiss:. And this moment gives me more confidence. I am sure I'll slim down:weight:.
As you guys suggested me to invite my girlfriend to come together to the gym I made she a proposal. She told that she will think, but make me understand that she is not against the workout.
Regarding diet:chicken:, it is the complicated step which I must do. How can I imagine my days without snacks...Ohhh these women ....
Guys which suggestion about diet can you give me? How to make it better?

Masher59, thank you!
May be you are right and I should start with a diet. But I want to achieve my goal in short time and suppose that workout will not hurt myself.

So, I can inform that new period in my life really started.
I was at gym and I would like to share my impressions.

On my first discussion with trainer, I’ve told him about my goals, that I would like to lose an extra weight and to obtain a strong body:bber:.
Trainer advise me a program for body relief. In the gym I should work on burning fat. This effect is possible due to the combination of power and aerobic exercise.
Aerobic exercises should be performed at least three times a week. Optimally schedule them in the morning, when there is a high level of metabolic processes, and therefore, a high fat burning effect. Length should be at least 30 minutes. He told me a true rule: the longer training, the less body fat. The intensity should be increased gradually.
Strength exercises should be carried out once or twice a week. Best of all, if the power training days do not coincide with the days of aerobic. So, I have to make my personal workout schedule.
Trainer, also point on a major importance in the work on the relief is proper nutrition. After all he gave me an advise regarding the nutrition. It is necessary to properly balance my diet. He advice:

to use at least 250 grams of protein per day;
drink at least 2 liters of water a day;
eliminate fast carbohydrates;
reduce by 10-20 percent total carbohydrate;
taking fish oil or vegetable oil;
eliminate saturated fats from the diet.

Guys what opinion do you have about nutrition and workout suggestions of my trainer?

It sounds like a great place to start. Congratulations on taking that step. Keep a detailed log of what you eat, when, and how much. Be honest. A separate journal / log of your workouts would be good to. In a week possibly 2 you can make adjustments to your training and nutrition based on the feedback your body is giving you.

to have a training journal it is an interesting idea. It seems that my workouts can be written in it and I will be able to follow the evolution:thumbsup:
