Looking Ahead
This win gives Mitchell momentum heading into the 2023 Shaw Classic on Aug. 19-20, 2023, where he will attempt to defend his title for the second time. Mitchell is the only multiple-time Shaw Classic champion, having won the contest in 2021 and 2022.
The 2023 Shaw Classic will award a new title — “The Strongest Man on Earth” — as it was revealed that four-time World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw, acquired the trademark for that moniker from Paul Ohl and the Fortissimus contest, which ended in 2009.
