it would be really easy if you could just pump the oil(mixed with powder offcourse) trough that big filter.....

i saw this shit on this website: http://www.researchsupply.net/home.html anyone know them?

thanks mike

You need to be careful on how much vacum pressure you use with a plastic receiver cup. Apply just enough pressure to cause the oil to drip into the receiver flask. It's slow but it saves the fingers.

I have never used a hand pump model, but I bet they would be much better than the damn whatman, I hate those things. He is right about the pressure, I beleive those things blow at about 9psi or so. THat seems low but for some reason that number sticks out right now. I'm sure if you ask before you order he will tell you, the owner seems run a pretty good show there, nivce and quick turn around too

You can use up to 9psi with a plastic receiver bottle and up to 20psi with a glass bottle. I wouldn't use more than 4-6psi with plastic though, just to be safe. Liquid needs to be under 120 degrees and it's kinda slow.

I used that exact setup. The pump is just a brake bleeding pump you might be able to pick up the same thing from a local autoparts store and save on shipping. It was a pleasure to use and my fingers were saved :^). A whole lot easier than manually filtering 500cc
