Ok tried to do squats with very light weight and my knees just can't take it. Never injured them they are just worn out from years on walking and kneeling on cement floors. And suggestions on what I can do to strengthen my legs and not further damage my knees?

you could do leg extensions/curls or do no weight squats and work up to one-legged squats. my knees are trash. sometimes i can do these exercises okay, but most of the time i really have to watch how far i go. it's so easy to over extend yourself when you feel somewhat good. there's not a whole lot you can do once your knees get too bad. do what you can when you can. i know that's sounds like such lame advice, but for me it's the best i have. another option, if you go to a gym, is use the leg press machine. that may ease the pain, so you can at least lift a bit more. i can't go to a gym due to chemical sensitivity. too much fragrance.
you could set up a rack to do short deads and try that, maybe only lift it for a foot or less to start.
i am sorry i do not have better advice at this time.

    What pgb said!

If that doesn't work, just rest. Sometimes rest is the best medicine.

You can also look in to EQ, anavar and or peptides for building some tendonstrength. Bpc-157, tb-500, hgh etc.

I have not done legs in several years do you bad knees and back. I cannot even do extensions due to nerve damage in my legs. But one thing that I have done when my knees are killing me is spray them with WD-40. It helps with the inflammation big time. But you smell like a machine shop.

I skipped legs for years also, due to bad knees. A few years ago, I started easing back in, using almost no weight on squats and focusing on strict form and high reps. I also did light weight leg extensions, walking lunges, and leg curls for hamstrings. I also wear CopperFit sleeves while working out and for an hour or so after. And, I made sure to ice my knees after every leg workout. I slowly started adding back weight and I'm up to 255 lbs. x 6 on squats now. But, you have to go very slow, ice often, and be ready to skip a workout if they are too sore.

If your knees aren’t too far gone, I would suggest trying synvisc , its a script your dr can write and inject into your knees once it arrives as they mail it to your doctor or pharmacy. Before my knees were totally gone I used it and it was like a small miracle from Heaven! It didnt last as long as I would have liked, but again my knees were pretty shot then, and I currently need 2 total knee replacements. So dont let them get like mine man! I wish I had of never squatted in my life in all honesty, and more so wish I hadn’t of gone so fucking heavy.

My best advice from personal experience is to make sure you do NOT stop doing legs, even if you have to only do light weight leg extension, do them and do your abs religiously! The proper alignment a solid set of abs provides is priceless when it comes to your knees, along with keeping as much leg muscle as possible to help keep your knee joints from doing all the work and keep them from grinding down to nothing!

I know a lot of you guys here aren’t afraid of injections, so if you can get your hands on synvisc 1 or synvisc 2 go for it! I dont think I could have injected myself between the knee joints like my doctor did, so I doubt even if I had of found it on the black market I would have been able to do it myself, but my doctor might have done it for me anyhow, idk. lol.

Stay hydrated as possible, as you’ll feel dehydration first in your knees if you have bad knees.

As GOD as my witness my knees ache so bad at night that the pain wakes me out of sleep and has brought actual tears to my eyes. I wouldnt wish this on anyone!

Good luck and do not stop training legs if at all possible!

I wouldnt recommend using equipoise if you already have bad knees, just my opinion. The other products however I have heard work well, like the tb-500 in particular, and for the record, and NOT a sales pitch, but IGF-1 promotes collagen synthesis very well. I have posted many actual medical studies on this in our articles forum as well peptide forum for anyone who cares to look into it reading them. But in short, Connective tissue is what holds our muscles and bones together. Connective tissue is tendons and ligaments both of which are made of collagen. Ligaments connect bone to bone while tendons connect muscle and bone together. So Collagen in extremely important!

Also out of my own curiosity, has anyone ever really benefitted from using Chondroitin? I ask because I must have used this stuff 3 or 4 times, and never felt shit! I also think it might have had to do with the fact that I never used it long enough? I would use it for a few weeks and not see or feel any noticeable changes in my knees and then stop using it. So just curious if anyone has really used it long enough to have benefitted from it?

Also, and I know some of you might think im a fucking quack or losing it after I write this, but fuck it, here goes.........!

So, as I described my knees are super bad, and need total replacements in both knees with which I have been putting off for a long time, but I read this article that referenced a few different scientists in different countries doing different studies all along the same lines, and the one that stuck out was this Russian scientist Dr. Gariaev who is the director of “wave genetics institute” anyhow, and yeah this is going to sound nutty on my part lol, but again my knees aren’t just bad they bring tears to my eyes on occasion, so with that said , I would do and try most anything before going through knee replacement surgeries and this Scientist as well as other scientists around the world, have been able to transfer cell and dna information from one frog embryo to another salamander embryo by way of passing a laser light through the frog embryo first then with a mirror redirecting that light beam into the salamander embryo and the salamnder embryo turned into a frog by way of the laser light beam carrying the genetic information it picked up passing through the frog embryo and transferred it into the salamander embryo.

So, here is my point in all of this, do NOT let your knees ever EVER EVER get to the point of being so bad that your actually considering trying to do this shit yourself !!! lol,

and No im not trying to turn my knees into a frog knees lmao but I can not say it hasn’t crossed my mind in wanting to redirect a laser beam from young healthy tissue then into my knees in hopes of transferring some cell information to signal my cells to change into say stem cells or whatever the stage the cells are at in say a 4 year old lmao

TAKE CARE OF YOUR KNEES GENTLEMAN!

AND....YES IM A BIT OFF KILTER

i've used a combination powder of condroitin, glucosamine, and msm for several years. i tried once to stop using it and noticed the negative affect of not using it not long there after. maybe a week or two, i don't rememer.
i use a powder form, because tablets and capsules weren't as effective. didn't find liquid to do so well either. currently i use labrada brand and get it from bodybuilding.com. it has collagen in it as well. if you're a vet or military you can get 10% off by using id.me. it's the only online store i use it for, but there are several. no, i'm not trying to spam, just letting you guys know it's there.

EQ helped me a lot with jointpain. It's probably like everything, very individual.

I've used glucosamine several times and it doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I have to combine it with msm, condroitin etc.

Cissus and vitamin c (couple of grams everyday) helps.

just the general aches and pains in the joints become worse when i stop. i think it's important to get a combination one and not individual supplements for this. i did not find them to be as effective singly. they could be synergistic in nature to some degree. the labrada brand has collagen in it which isn't in the only other powder i've. which is arthrenew by nutrition express. i find i like the labrada better, and comes in three flavors. i like the fruit punch best, but that's a preference, cause my son likes the grape, lol.
this won't help in areas that have no cartilage in them any more, i don't think. my old joints have a lot of crepitus in them, compared to when i was younger. my son use to call me rice krispies, because of it, lol.

i forgot to add, give it at least a month to see any results. maybe a bit longer, depending on how much damage you have. supplements and herbal take a while to work usually, because they're subtle in action, thus work over time.
