The first race in the US for the 2022/2023 HYROX season took place at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ. Deemed HYROX NYC, David Magida and Alandra Greenlee emerged victorious in the Men’s Pro and Women’s Pro divisions, respectively. In addition to standing atop the podium, they each earned their entries to the HYROX US Championships, scheduled for Feb. 11, 2023, in Chicago, IL.
Magida and Greenlee are qualified for the HYROX World Championships, set for May 27, 2023, in Manchester, England, as they are within the 15 fastest times in each Pro Division in the regular season — the times which qualify for the World Championships. Check out the HYROX NYC results below:

Participants in HYROX complete eight one-kilometer runs with a workout between each lap either as Individuals, as Couples, or in a Relay Team of four. Participants receive a worldwide seeding, with the top athletes qualifying for the World Championships.
HYROX NYC also introduced a new division to the sport — the GORUCK division — which featured athletes competing in GORUCK weighted training vests. Male athletes wore 20-pound vests, and Female athletes wore 14-pound vests.

Debuting HYROX Two-Day Contests
HYROX also announced its first-ever two-day race will occur at the Olympia London from April 30 through May 1, 2023. It is expected to be the sport’s largest race since its founding in Germany in 2017.
