Athletes to Watch
The roster in South Korea is stacked, but the three athletes below have strong potential to score well in first callouts.
Joseph Lee
Joseph Lee has competed twice already in the 2023 season. He ranked in the top three of both contests — the 2023 Wasatch Warrior Pro and second at the 2023 Los Angeles Grand Prix.
Lee is one of the favorites to score his first win of the season at this show. If he wins, he qualifies for the 2023 Olympia for the second time in his career and for the first time since 2021, when he placed 10th overall.
Jung Hyeon Jo
Jung Hyeon Jo hasn’t competed yet in 2023 but did compete twice in 2022. He ranked fifth at the 2022 Monsterzym Pro and seventh in the 2022 Korea Men’s Physique Pro. His highest career placing thus far in his three seasons as a pro was a third-place result at the 2021 Monsterzym Pro.

This Chinese competitor has only competed once as a pro. He ranked second at the 2022 Japan Pro to winner Jinbo Li. However, Renyi showed potential and committed the rest of that year to make improvements. This will be his first show of the 2023 season to display those physique updates.
Other Notes
This is one of two Men’s Physique shows scheduled for the weekend of June 16-17, 2023. The other is the 2023 Sheru Classic Pro India contest, which takes place on Friday, June 16, in Pragati Maiden, Delhi, India.
