Body Temperature Regulation

This question is for the ladies with fairly low body fat. When you're pretty low, do you find that you have any problems regulating your body temperature? Since getting down to about 18%, I find that I just can't regulate. Not sure if it's a result of the bodyfat or something else (and no, I'm not that close to menopause yet!).

SuzyQ-I am pretty cold almost all of the time and my bodyfat is slowly getting lower. I just carry an extra layer wherever I go; the other night at the movie theatre I was in a jacket and gloves, but I don't mind looking silly if I'm toasty ;-).

That sounds like me! I'm always wearing at least two layers in the winter, and sometimes in the summer in air conditioning. Sometimes I just feel like I can't ever get warm, and then all of a sudden I'll be hot.

If you get me turn the damn heat up - you would be warm ...lol

LOL CC!

Regulate your body temp?! If you've found a way to do that, let me know.

Actually these days haven't been to bad for me even with the -20 deg weather we've had. Hot Flashes come in handy. :p

I haven't noticed having any trouble regulating my body temp when I diet down.

But lately with this nasty weather I have.

As your bodyfat decreases, you may find that you will sweat more when doing cardio at a quicker rate/lesser time. This is because you are in good shape and that is a very very good thing. Your body is regulating its temperature; tune in to when you feel hot or cold and you will find that you are completely normal! Keep up the good work, eat well and you will feel great!
