The 2023 Rogue Invitational featuring the Rogue Record Breakers (RRB)at the Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock, TX, encountered a weekend of inclement weather. On the final day of competition — Oct. 29, 2023 — the RRB events were moved into a concourse at the stadium as the grounds outdoors were not amicable to the extremely heavy implements.
One of those implements was Thor’s Hammer. Strongwoman Hannah Linzay was unfazed whether the Thor’s Hammer lift was in to take place indoors or outdoors as she scored a new record of 150 pounds on the Thor’s Hammer. Check out the record lift below, courtesy of Rogue Fitness’ Instagram page:

Linzay wore a lifting belt and knee sleeves for the left-handed lift of the Norse god’s mythical weapon. Initially, Linzay is seen attempting the lift with her right hand. However, after two failed attempts after a sniff of ammonia, Linzay swapped to her left hand, and like the sword from the stone, Thor’s Hammer left the floor.
The lift is performed similarly to a single-hand partial sumo deadlift. Pulling the Hammer off the floor and locking out the knees and hips scored a down signal from the judge, strongman legend Odd Haugen.
Linzay celebrated with the crowd that was tight to the lifting stage. Among those watching were strongmen Bobby Thompson, Evan Singleton, and Mateusz Kieliszkowski, who had finished the 2023 Rogue Strongman Invitational the day before.
