i think that doing various stances while doing squats will hit the target areas only to a minimal degree. im not going scientific here, but from a personal perspective.
In my opinion, while doing legs you should keep a natural stance. this will be most comfortable which in turn will be most effective since you will feel confident to push more weights. also, don't skimp on full range of motion. doing half-squats=half-results. keep the rep range low on squats, follow with medium rep range leg press and higher rep extensions. i don't go heavy on extensions since i believe that they tax the knees more than anything. as for hams. i hit them on a totally different day than legs. i hit the leg curls after doing heavy deads. give it a shot.
