Controlling estrogen while on TRT

So I've been running self prescribed TRT for about a year now and so far I've been controlling estro with a TD formestane. Been running test e 250mg/wk. I want to switch to an oral med for estro now so I need a recommendation with a dosage plan. Right now I have both mc arimidex and mc Letro and also mc clomid and mc nova. I don't know if I should run an AI or a serm for estrogen control. I was thinking of running .5 mg eod arimidex.

Your thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

I think .5 every other day of arimidex is ample for that dosage of TRT Brutha

What Presser said. I've always used Aromasin/Exemestane for maintenance and nolva if shit got weird. I'm cruising on sus 250 and test cyp 200 and haven't had any need to suppress estrogen. Are you real prone to sides? Everyone is different but that's a low dose to me to need estrogen control for me anyway.

I don't think I'm too prone to sides. Another question though is when do you guys know you need to up your AI dose a bit or nova or whatever you use? So far I've just been watching my libido. When it tanks I use the AI til it comes back and then back off a bit and I just do this over and over without any real set dosing scheme.
That's why I'm trying to come up with a plan so I don't need to guess or feel my libido tank anymore. I want to find that sweet spot dose I can run all the time for perfect t/estro ratio.

your libido can tank because you use to much AI i dont think it tanks when estrogen is high but i could be wrong

This is just me but when the nipples get overly sensitive is when I will jump on the aromasin for a couple days and that's all it usually takes to knock it out. I'm not one of these guys running grams per week of test and have never had to use it as a regiment during cycle. If you are hurting bad and feel a lump start to form I would use nolva at that point to get it in check but don't go crazy with it or you will crash out. It's a last resort for me. The only times I've had my libido decrease was when I used too much inhibitor.

pretty solid info guys! I would just add that always remember when gyno signs are already present, use Nolvadex, and the arimidex is for prevention of conversion of test to estro

If libido only crashes when estro is too low then it seems I need to back off the AI a bit then. Ok thanks guys. So ill keep with the .5mg/eod arimidex plan for now and see how that goes. If nips get sensitive I'll throw in a small amount of nolvadex for a few days then. Thanks everyone.

Too much estrogen can definitely lower your sex drive. Mood swings, low energy, irritability...

I had a blood test last year and my natty test was 850, e2 was at the top of the scale at 46. After starting adex, I realized how long I had gone with basically no sex drive.

Still haven't got the dose right though.

this guy is probably right. go get some blood work and that will let you know what you should do. privatemdlabs.com i think is the site i use. get the female panel

The only reason I went the other route is he's low dosing and using an inhibitor. A panel is the only thing that will tell him for sure good advice.

I agree that's good advice. I'm going to run the arimidex as planned for a few weeks and then get some labs and see where I'm at then.

You want a good balance of estro and test. I would only take the AI every couple days unless you are sensitive to gyno. Those aromatase inhibitors are strong and some people never have problems with conversion. Like they said before you can always get blood work done to give you a better idea of how your body is reacting. I think the loss of libido can be caused by an imbalance of either hormone.

You should take a few blood tests and put how you feel with the numbers from the test. That way you will be able to quantify how you feel in the future. That is what I am doing. My wife is also only on board with this lifestyle if I get blood tests often. I usually get one every 3 weeks, for now, until I know how I respond to the gear I am using. Next time I use the same stack, I will know what is happening based on feel and know it is based on previous blood work. As was previously stated, privatemdlabs is a great site to use. Get the Hormone Panel for Females. Sign up for their newsletter first and they will send you a 10% off code usable for 3 times I think - and then send you a new one each month. I have actually had my results the same day (twice) and the next day every other time (5 total) so the turnaround is VERY fast with them.
