Parents don't set good examples for their kids... I mean, my parents never forced me to eat veggies and healthy stuff and I was lucky to have good genes for a while until I realized I better do something to improve/maintain my health and appearance if I wanted to keep it that way.
You should see the people I work with though. Almost everyday there's leftover food from meetings and these people can EAT. I know I eat like 3 lunches, but they're small protein/green veggie meals every 2-3 hours and I workout. These fat asses are eating sandwiches loaded with all sorts of fatty dressings, cookies, cake, brownies, pastries, bagels, etc... I mean, don't get me wrong. I LOVE crappy food as much as the next person, but I like being healthy and fit MORE! People act like they've never seen food before and try to pile as much onto their plates as they can fit. They're also the same people to complain about their weight and then make comments "oh, you're so lucky. you're young!" to me. Umm NO, I'm not "lucky" and age has nothing to do with it. I work my ass off because YOU'RE the epitome of everything I don't WANT to be. So when I'm xx years old, I'm actually gonna be HOT! (LOL, okay well that's what I wanna say! I keep my lips shut though because it's work and all!)
So yeah, that makes sense... people just don't care anymore.
