Does this happen to anyone else? I usually have small bruises after I workout arms, but this is the worst it has ever gotten..

Ive never actually looked to see if I have bruises when I used to train biceps real hard , BUT idt I ever have , do you bruise easy to start with?

But the worst my bicep workouts used to get was IMMENSE pump , that forced me to lay on the floor and squeeze my biceps so try and force out some of the pump , because they felt like they would explode and I could feel my heart beat through my bicep like I was grabbing my actual heart. that was back when I had guns tho lol.

I used to get that when I was on anything that controlled/affected cholesterol. I was told by the doctor that it happens because meds/supplements/whatever you are using weakens the capillary walls in the skin. So when you do something strenuous, which increases blood pressure, those tiny vessel walls will break or leak blood into the skin--and there you have it--a bruise.

I did standing ez curl, single arm dumbell curls on preacher chair, and standing dumbell hammers.. And no i didnt hit myself with the weight. I did take off two weeks before this workout though, so maybe I just hit it too hard for my first workout back into it.. who knows.. I did read where low iron levels can cause this but I recently had all my bloodwork checked and my iron levels are ok

you are right about the iron... low iron is an easy bruise. ... I will tell you that when i use a preacher chair, if my arms aren't positioned correctly and my arms don't hang low enough on the chair, the pad would rub or i would have my triceps laying on the pad and it would cause a bruise...

i know you've been on here forever, so don't be offended when i ask this, because it seems very newbie, but is the seat high enough so your arms are completely over the pad? sounds dumb, but raising the seat a little higher got rid of bruising for me... and i never get bruises from anything else.

Actually yes, it is high enough. Most of the time my triceps dont even touch the pad, just my elbows because I use preacher chair as more of an isolation exercise
