Hey guys!!!,
Needing some advice here. I recently got a call from one of my good friends that's got a source that can get me stuff legally. My only concern is that the doc says that I'd have to file through my insurance, get blood tests, a physical, blah blah...
SO..my question is..should I go this route? Since I'm in the fitness industry and ppl could potentially find out about my AAS use..( if anyone from my INS. Co. ever blabbed or someone ever did any digging on me) should i use this 'legal' route or go the other direction? I mean..over the past several yrs. I've talked to MANY ppl that think its OK to do an 8 ball of coke, or smoke some weed BUT the hypocritical a@#$ think that doing AAS is HORRIBLE?!? Funny thing is MOST if not all of them have never bothered putting in the time to sacrifice attaining any type of real fitness goals in the gym beyond lifting a 20lbs dumbell and talking on their cell phone at the same time.
We all know how ppl can be when it comes to the use of these things..ppl get famous/well known and get slimeball reporters/tabloids digging for info about them etc.
Any thoughts??
Thanks!!

I work for the US govt in a "high risk" capacity. Ins and your doc aren't allowed to "blab". It's called HIPPA or HIPA. Your doc will only prescribe you test and GH, however my ins. Will not cover injectables. I've been tested MANY times and its never even come up, even in the steroid tests. My doc prescribes me 1g of test a week and we have the bloodwork to substantiate it's necessity. In short, yes, do it the legal way. BTW, sometimes "crashing" is a good thing when doing these kinds of things :-)

Your doc perscribes you 1 gram of test a week? Thats unheard of

That's what I was thinking! Where can I find a Dr. like that?!

On topic, if there's a way to get it legally I would definitely do that. Why put yourself through the risk if it isn't necessary. Easy, and legit is much better. And if your insurance will cover some of it it may end up being cheaper too! I don't really see a downside. You can always pick up a little extra here and there if you really wanted to :)

You don't necessarily need to file through the insurance. You can always pay full price for the meds. The doc visits may go through insurance just so you don't pay an arm and a leg to see him, but I don't believe they report what they are seeing you for since your medical information is private (HIPPA--as vetteguy mentioned above). If your insurance will cover it then you can file the insurance. I've been on HRT for 10 years, and my insurance covers mine since it's a legal medical use. You do have to do blood tests now and then, either every 3-6-12 months, but that's easy to deal with.

Like the others--1 g?? How do you get 1 g of test? Please get me in touch with your doctor. I can send him charts or whatever. I've had my dosage reduced just because my doc doesn't want to get sued for overprescribing (saving his own ass--never mind that I still feel like crap), but I have shown a definite need to have a higher dosage, at least 300-400mg/week just to feel normal.

I was wondering too. Isn't it normal to have like 2-5mgs of test in your system at a time? Seems like I read that. I know they measure in nanograms so Im guessing it is a small small number.

I know it's awesome, but he is very educated and open minded on HRT. The normal Dr. Creed is "Do no harm". My doctor has found no legitimate research to show exogeneous test to be detrimental. Also "normal" test levels is anything from 300- 2400 ng/dl so why shouldn't I be at 2400??! It is what it is. Hundreds die from oxycontin everyday, show me the liability in placing me at the top of "normal" range. My doctor is also a good friend and a bodybuilder. Ins covers everything but the 2 bottles of test a month at $70 a piece or I can get them where ever since I have a script. He is VERY hesitant to right pain scripts.... the way it should be. I also have a script for a kit of GH a month but can't afford it. Why would I be lying about this? It seems some of you are offended. Unlike most my Dr. doesn't give a crap about baseball or who is using what.

I think you took it the wrong way bro, I don't think anybody is offended and nobody meant to insult you. I'm pretty sure everyone is just wishing they had a doctor who was as open minded as yours :) $140 a month for test and you're taking 1g a week is awesome. You are a lucky patient ;)

I was hoping that would be the general opinion. The FDA, AMA, and US govt aren't out to protect our health as I'm sure most of you know. They just want to make their dollar. Do things their way and you will have no issues.... that is if you can find an intelligent unbiased Dr. Like we say in my line of work "you can do anything you want as long as you can articulate". Legal is the way to go.

As ironic as it may seem the feds were dead set against the enforcement of persuing steroids as they are, soem great headed former president started a war on performance enhancing drugs and LE was enforced to enforce it so to speak. I'm pretty sure as much as I remember it was the same with the illegalization fo marijuana too. Oh well, just my little knowledge wasting away.

As for your doc having you on 1gr test wk!!!!! Wow, no we aren't bashing you we are jealous. My doc has me on 250mg/wk as HRT and I find myself holding out for somethign more. Cyp is great dont get me wrong but my doc wont prescribe fina...has soemthign to do with his "oath" so he says. We have a pretty open relationship and joke about it non stop lol.

Bro, we're definitely NOT offended, just astounded that there's a doc out there that actually understands the whole thing. Damn, tell him to go talk to my doc. He lowered my dose just to cover his own ass from "being sued" as he put it because he said a patient that got prostate cancer after having his dose raised to put him over the high limit of the range, and that patient sued him even though it was the patient who asked him to raise the dose. My doc goes by the range of 240-1100, btw. My last reading was 1124, but I still felt like crap. I had been taking femara to stop conversion to estrogen, so that was probably what caused that reading, but I digress. Is your doctor open to new patients? I've been on HRT for 10 years, and I could really use a doctor who won't balk at prescribing this stuff. I can send him all the charts he needs. I would greatly appreciate it if you could pm me with any info.

Damn bro! My last test came back showing me in teh 300-400 range and my doc was just happy with that. He is old school and feels that as long as you fall with in the low normal range which si almost anythign above 240 to 500 then you're good. I hate it. If I were to not run alternate gear and up my own doses I'd feel pretty much like crap. As it stands I end up coming off and leting my levels drop again prior to getting my blood work done so I show a more true level and he doesnt cut me off completely again.....its happened before lol.

Wow, that sucks! My Dr. Is in the Tampa Bay arear and is very hesitant to accept new patients, but he does prefer the HRT guys b/c we can pay and aren't junkies. He requires monthly visits and yearly blood work, but he is the best. Arimidex, HCG, GH, Test, T3, whatever to put you in your prime. I'm going on the 22nd and I will see what he says about new guys with legitimate need. That is if you are in the area. As you can tell. I value my Dr's anonymity (sp?)

Wow, 300-400 is too low even for someone in their 50s. You should find a better doc if you can. The really stupid thing is that if you have a test done shortly after having your weekly shot, your levels can be sky high--that's what is supposed to happen. Then they come down over the course of the week. They make their determination on the reading nonetheless, and don't take into account that you just had your shot. That's pretty much what happened to me. By the end of the week, I'm down around the same level as you. The lower the dose he puts me on, the worse it gets. If I let it all go out of my system according to the half-life, my readings have been as low as 151. I suppose I'll just have to let it go that low again so my doc can stop complaining about covering his own ass.

Monthly visits, eh? Damn, well I wouldn't be able to do that if he's in Tampa Bay. I was hoping he'd be the kind of doc that takes on patients nationwide like a couple of other docs I've heard about. Perhaps he'd be willing to share his experience and knowledge with other docs.
