Im not sure what is wrong with it, but last night i did smith machine seated shoulder presses and i heard my collarbone pop and now all day i can feel it throbbing, my question is do u think it could be a muscle in that area, and wouldnt the collar bone be a noticable break? or can u fracture it? after sitting a while and then moving it takes a few minutes to loosen up, feels funny!

anyways just curiou and if it is broke how the hell do they fix that?

i know its not hard to break it. full breaks with seperation are rare. the fix...last i heard...was a brace you wear to keep the bone in position to heal

thnx drew, thats what i thought, if i broke it then it would be out, i think i tweeked it bad though, i was just worried that all the muscle in that area might have kept it in place and that it still could be broke but i may not realize it

it very well could be broke. but a pop and a crack are two distinctly different sounds

Could it be your Pec? It does attach up there, maybe you strained it? Doubt you hurt the bone itself? Just guessing man...

Theirs this long round rod type thing running along there, wait thats my collar bone, lol, no bro no lumps nor bumps, maybe ill rub some of ur myostatin on it and ill be good as new

Yeah, myostatin vaccine...that's what I'd do ;)

no bump or lump...just tweaked it...just take it easy for awhile...eat more turkey and dressing :)

lol, i might just rub some dirt on it! Thats what my coach use to tell me when i would get hurt, lol,

Pec strain. I've broken other's collar bones and it will make the toughest man cry. They are easy to break, but there has to be direct very precise impact on the bone.

Don't listen to this guy! I tore my bicep and asked him what it looked like bundled into the crook of my inner elbow. "No, it looks totally normal.... you're fine"

You're an ass. I was trying to keep you calm so you didnt freak out. You were sounding like a little girl and I didnt want you to faint.

That shit was scary!! Look at how worried Presser is and he doesn't have a sack sitting in the elbow groove!!

i've have a 3rd degree separation. generally when you take an ex ray of the collar bone you are given a weight to see the seperation. But in my case- which was the worst case, the separation is very clear.

Not sure how you got this while lifting.... mine required quite a bit of velocity and friction. But anyways.... This long winded story is to tell you that they dont do anything for them anymore (if thats what it is). The surgery is so invasive it outways the benifits of having the collar bone connected. I can still feel the end of my collar bone where its not attached. Its really no big deal.
