why did you get started in this sport ?

what are your reason's for getting into bodybuilding or working out ? What age did you get started in bodybuilding..why are you still in this sport ? Or why are you still working out...what are your goals now ?
 
I was abnormally muscular and strong at 12. I started lifting weights when it was brought to my attention. I didn't want to lose it. Now it is my way of feeling like I have control over something.
 
15 or 16, Think Conan, Barbarian Brothers hooked me. Now I just loathe fat. Tell people all the time, sometimes I wish I never started this cuz I dont think ill ever be able to stop working out. Its damn addicting!
 
I could go on and on about this...

But mainly. I was BORN Large, always had a LARGE FRAME.. Skinny waste.. the natural V-taper without putting in any work.. I have always been a scary intimidating dude.. I was approached at 17 years old to be a bouncer at a club.. I took the job. Lifting weights has and always be my escape, my way of disconnecting myself from the world.. It just comes natural. I have the GENETICS .. I was BORN to do this.. No other way to put it. With enough dedication, time, effort, and knowledge.. I will easily be ONE of The Greats.. I have no doubt in my mind. My body will allow me to surpass the 300lbs mark.. not with ease.. but with WORK. I am and always Have Been a BODYBUILDER !!!

i knew i was never gonna be tall.......short people in general get dumped on by society, but short big motherfuckers get respect all around

After seeing your pics, reading your posts, and hearing your commitment I whole heartedly agree! And its nice to have an honest guy with those qualities share info.

Thanks THE DUDE !! Means a lot ... I must say, I have never had it extremely easy in life, until recently.. and even now I struggle .. BUT.. There is always ONE THING that has remained a constant. One thing I could ALWAYS turn to... Lifting Weight. My Father instilled it into me at an early age, I remember doing push-ups and squats at the age of 6... Saying. "You wanna be Schwarzenheimer" .. Apparently that's what I called Schwarzenegger when I was really YOUNG.. Haha.. then Puberty hit, and I had the weight bench out in the shed, and i would escape there for hours.. to get away from everything.. and release my mind.. and dream of one day Being BIGGER than Arnold.. Bigger than Yates... and haha NOW that I am older and have the knowledge.. It's a FRIGGEN REALITY.. It's gonna be hard, but it is actually fvcking something I can actually Pull Off.. GOD BLESS GENETICS.. Thanks DAD !!
 
I was always small...graduated HS at 125lbs...put on about 40 in the Corps....then stayed with it 5-8lbs a yr since
 
I got started working out kind of late in life. A lot later than I would have liked. I have been plauged by substance abuse issues since an early age. A large portion of my life I was more concerned with where the next party was not when I was going to the gym.

When I was around 26 I took a hard look at my life and didn't like what I saw so i started to go to the gym. It's only been the last few years that i've been really serious about it though.

I've stopped drinking and doing drugs and have put everything I can into accomplishing my fitness goals. I want to be around 220 at like 6-7% BF. Right now i'm 191 at 13% so I have a ways to go.

welcome to mc bro! Glad u straightened ur life out, the gym is always a good place to come back to when things get rough
