I know palumbo is big on longer cycles. He believe's, that you have to stablize the weight you put on in the cycle. So say, you did a 12 week cycle. Gain something like 20lbs (go from 240 to 260lbs) You do a post cycle, ect. Then go off for 3 months or 12 weeks. You prob, can hold on to the weight, but some of that weight will be water and you will drop a good 10-12lbs so in reality you gain maybe a solid 8-10lbs of mass. Still good, but you couldve prob held on to that weight better if you did a 20 week cycle. the last 3-4 weeks cycling down and doing pct. Prob, gain a touch more weight (a good 5-8lbs) so your up to around 265-268lbs. After the good off for 3 months or so, you prob will still drop some water weight around 10lbs but your now up to 255-258lbs....That weight or muscle is prob, more dense or solid. Most guys anymore really dont even come off, they just do a trt or hrt dose of 200-400mg per week. That will keep all the gains for the most part. Prob, lose the water weight but then its only prob about 5-8lbs or so...Now, your up to around 260lbs and the cycle has you gaining a solid 20lbs of solid weight. Ofcourse this is just all guessing or bro science. But, for the most part, if you do longer cycles the muscle is going to be more dense or solid in the end...Also, just for info if you hold on to a higher weight for a longer period of time, the weight when you diet will be much more solid. I have gotten up to around 270 or 275 but then start my diet and go right back to 220lbs or so. But, if you stay up in the 270-275 range for say a year or so, that weight prob would be more solid as it gives you much more time to keep that muscle on and make it dense. You can also cyle your weight up and down by 10lbs to lean it up some, before you diet down. Just some thoughts for everyone on MC...
