If you told us we had to dump all of our supplements except for two, we’d stick with whey and creatine. And then maybe wrestle you for the opportunity to add arginine to the mix. And a multivitamin. OK, you get the idea. Creatine is vitally important to the process of growing muscles. It increases energy and muscle strength, can benefit cardiovascular health and mental performance, and can even increase muscle size by drawing fluid into muscle cells. Now, evidence shows that it might also help you get lean.

A study conducted at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and published in the journal Amino Acids divided subjects into two groups and gave one group 10 grams of creatine per day and the other a placebo for three months, during which time both groups engaged in moderate aerobic activity. The findings: those given creatine had lower blood sugar, apparently because creatine had pulled more of it out of the bloodstream and into the muscle cells. This is good for a several reasons.

One, your muscle cells will have more fuel to burn, allowing you to work out longer. Two, burning more glucose prevents it from being stored as fat, which will keep you leaner. And three, storing more glucose in muscle cells also increases the size of those muscle cells, which can also increase muscle size. Add those to the overwhelming list of reasons to keep taking creatine.

DOSAGE Take 2-5 g, depending on the form of creatine you use, with your pre- and postworkout shakes.

That was pretty weak,lol, They made it sound like their was going to be some sort of direct mechanism for which taking creatine will make you lean and lose weight, while all it realy gave you was a secondary cause of losing weight through burning glucose, something we all knew. lmao weak.

I have taken old school EAS Phosphagen HP forever but stopped about 6 months ago when I went on a cut to try and avoid holding water and because Phospagen HP has a ton of sugar in it which I dont really mind post workout. Anyway, does anyone have a favorite creatine product that can be added to a shake or taken standalone. Is monohydate still the best. I never really liked the ethyl creatine products myself.

My favorite of all time is the one you mentioned, EAS Phosphagen HP and they had an XP as well i think, the first time i took it i thought for sure it was ilegal cause i blew up on ti like nothing every before, and ofcourse had never juiced back then and i was simply amazed by it
 
Yes, I had the same result. Not to mention Phosphagen HP is waaay cheaper now. Like 10-15$ as opposed to old school like $50. Do you still take HP?
 
wtf is creatine? oh yea it what everyone around here says their taking when the balloon 10 lbs over night. apparently creatine is pretty popular in my gym.
 
Do you think you can take HP and still be ripped or is it enevitably going to smooth you out?

yes ofcourse you can be ripped on creatine, its a fine line but as long as you keep the water in the muscle as opposed to spilling over between the muscle and the skin, then your fine, alot of guys get ripped on creatine, if you keep the water in your muscle then its going to increase the volume of your muscle which in turn will tighten your skin and give you a more pronounced vascularity

so yes its surely attainable
 
Anymore I love how you don't have to load most creatines. I used to hate having to load that shit and use up half of the bottle in the first week. Con-cret is probably my favorite kind right now
 
i take the plain unflavored creatine monohydrate . . 5grams pre 5 grams post. i mix 5 grams with my pre carb shake with scoop of power shock aminos and jacked all in same shake appx 30 min prior to workout an hour and half or so after meal. . then post workout , carbs aminos creatine in a post shake and a seperate protein one post workout. i cut it out when leaning and trying to cut water down but i think its good to help stay full

U never had to load it back then either even though they told you to. And I use to use alkaseltzer in my creatine and it worked the same as the effervescent creatine they tried selling which was nothing but a sodium buffer like alkaseltzer
