If you havent seen a Pro in person, you can't really understand how different they are from us. There heads, hands, torso's, everything is vastly different. Even compared to "big" bodybuilders. There is another dimension to their physique. I remember when Jason Huh won the 2006 Southern States at 21. He just looked different. He won as a light Heavy, but still had a fullness with clothes on at 198 that I barely get at 240lbs. Looking at the other guys, its amazing that in clothes and at 2% bodyfat that a normal person could mistake them as obese. It's just insane to me

toney freeman is an example of that too...especially when he is shredded. Dexter jackson, who ive actually trained with is another...at a low weight, still on of the prettiest physiques ive seen in person

This is very true. I mean looka at lee preist when he was 16!!!!! The guy was just fckn freaky his whole life. Genetics play such a big role in BB. You either have them or you dnt....

You are spot on, the most amazing thing to me is that when you meet them at like the Arnold or the Mr. O and you get the change to shake their hands you truly notice how big their hands are. I have small hands for a man, but my hands barely wrapped around the fat part of their thumbs. It's just simply breath taking the first time you meet a pro. I don't care who you are, it's something that will make you kinda take a step back and say to yourself "holy shit." But after you meet the first one that goes away then you are just impressed at how massive they are (and how short some of them are because you don't really realize this until you see them in person). I have met quite a few of them at the Arnold and they're all the same with the hands, even Lou Joseph who isn't anywhere near the size of most had thick hands. I met Brandon Curry when he was first signed with BSN and he just looked massive for a young man and he's obviously grown since then.

Then you have freakishly big guys like Lou Ferrigno that is just as massive in person as you'd expect. He's probably one of the taller guys I've met, he's a total dick in my opinion, but he's a big guy alrogether.

I dont think I have ever met one except Kamali bc I went to school with his cousin but I have been around guys that I trained with back in the day and still have friends (1 genetic freak) that if they took the same stuff and ate about the same and we trained together, then you would expect a simialir response but I have seen a few guys just explode and others barely change, so yes I feel extremely strong that genetics plays a huge role. My 1 freak friend took years off lifting and a couple months ago, he walks up to a deadlift bar with 600lbs and lifted it with ease. He was a green-baret (spelled wrong Im sure), and he killed several men with his bare-hands. He is one guy that I feel in life should have done MMA or NFL. Just off the charts genetics but he didnt do much with it.

yes they are, I laugh when people ask if Im a pro. Im like, you are clueless.

I'm not blowing smoke up your ass, but you have very good genetics. It's obvious in the thickness of your hands and the fullness of your muscle bellies. I can see how some would think it possible, hell... some ask me. Now the top Pro's do not look anything like the rest of us. Most look as though they have acromegaly.

Like the original topic, I dont think poeople realize until they are face to face with a pro!
