Hey!

Ok, so I would really like to know if doing my cardio in the morning will make a big difference than if I do it in the evening. I've done it in the morning a couple times recently and I know I don't go as hard as the evening and than I'm usually a lot more tired throughout the day. But, I'm trying to cut down on some weight and was wondering if this would make a big difference. Before, when I trained for a competition I only started doing morning cardio when it got closer to my comp. Thoughts pleaseeeeee

Yes it will make a big difference in the morning, especially if you do it on an empty stomach or close to empty, it will send you into Ketosis and you will start smelling amonia, I always did my cardio in the morning on an empty stomach and I would always get that nasty smell, but it made a huge difference.

Are you sure that's Ketosis you're smelling? Lol! I do mine first thing in the morning only. In all honesty it's a little easier since my treadmill is in the other room.
Like Presser said, you mobilize stored fat much better in the AM since you are already in a fasted state and don't have any glycogen floating around

When i did my cardio in the morning, i could actually see the difference from week to week. A chunky guy i was training dropped 40lbs of blubber in 2 months doing morning cardio with me.

Im going against the grain here and saying no it does not matter, as long as you do it you can do it anytime you want. Even if say you burn more fat in the morning than later in the day it will not matter if you ingest more calories than you burn up that day. Also the ammonia smell is from the body burning protein(amino acids) from muscle tissue and not ketosis. Since blood glucose is low in the morning and cardio is done, if the body needs glucose it will take protein from the muscle and convert it into glucose, a process known as gluconeogenisis. This is the ammonia you smell.
