Finally had to break down and get one in each elbow. The left one wasn't that bad but holy hell my right elbow almost made me cry. The Dr. said it was close to a nerve. I got the shots a 3:30 and it was bed time before I could move my right arm without it hurting like a bitch. Dr. told me to take it easy for another 3 weeks which will make it almost 2 months out of the gym. Hopefully this will help them and I can get back at the iron.

ive not heard of taking so long off after a cortisone shot, as the shot is usually to help push through isnt it? I mean the shot does more damage then good ive read, so i always thought it was last resort to help push through whatever, anyways....hope u heal well brutha!!!

Man, I'm with you buddy...Those fuckers will bring a big man down!! Had em' in both shoulders and just like you, one was painless but the other was paralyzing!!! The next day was the worst of it. Got better after that brother...

I warned you that the shots were bad, but once they're done they do help a lot. The guy I knew who had to get them had the same thing happen to him, couldn't move his arm for a day. Depending on how you feel, you might be able to get back in the gym before 3 weeks, but train LIGHTLY. I was back in a week after my gallbladder surgery, but I took it easy. Even just light, light movements will keep the muscle from atrophying.
