i just did ran the pump and i did not wet it before hand and it went through fine. i left the cap on i didnt even take it off. and the pump didnt freeze up or anything. so no offense but i didnt listen to anything you said and it worked. i didnt need to pre wet it... i didnt need to do nothing...

This is what my manual says, maybe you can translate this for me into real people language lol. Because from my understanding, I plan to just start right away at low pressure. (tren ace i am filtering) and then slowly increase the pressure with the vent open at first and then i plan to close it...

thanks. the manua does not say anything about putting oil through first before starting so i assume that the vent is just ot relieve pressure. how do i know if air is being trapped. any signs to look for?
