I have had this a couple times and it was hemorrhoids. The way you are describing it sounds much like that with the coming and going aspect. The two questions I would as is does it itch down there. That is a sign of hems and is it dark like swole said. They say dark is very bad. Ive had a colonoscopy when I was younger and its not as bad as you think, but you need to make sure it isn't something serious. Thinking positive thoughts wont help if its serious bro. Be careful. It could be something like gastritis and ulcer or several other things but blood work alone is not necessarily going to show it.

i realy realy realy dont want a camera shoved up my ass

i think we all feel you on that one press. but eventually who will probably need a colonoscopy one day when you're older so best to "take it like a man" now. I know, terrible pun.

although I dont blame you if you do nothing. lord knows I dont look forward to the day something goes up my rear.

Every time I think you know what you're doing you go and do something stupid like this... Presser, no joking around, get yourself to the Doctor and tell him everything. Just because some of the guys on the board have had similiar problems or their friend/cousin/father/brother had the same problem doesn't matter. Each of us are individuals and no one knows your entire health history and supplement regimen. Tell the doc everything if he says he has to scope you tell him to shove it up his own ass and that you want another option ie. different test... if he tells you the other tests results are worrying him and he has to scope you don't be stupid and get it done. Man-up put your big boy underwear on and get checked out.

Well as luck would have it the news this morning said there is a new break through in testing for colon cancer!!! NO BS!! I couldnt believe it, I forget the name of the test but its a blood test that tests specificly for colon cancer cells and is very accurate, and then you get the camera if the test shows signs of cancer cells in that SPECIFIC AREA!

So i made a doctors appointment for April to ask for the test, my doctor is good whenever i want blood test done he sends me to another waiting room in the back of the drs office and they come in and draw my blood then they simply leave message on my phone when results are in so im getting this new colon cancer blood test done!!

you would know if it was an anal fissure cuz that shit fucking hurts!!! blood will be bright red and u will dread shitting cuz of the pain. takes about 2 months to heal

Colitis is inflammation of the colon. It is usually called ulcerative colitis and it can be from infection, bad blood supply, or an autoimmune reaction. The part of the colon affected in UC is the mucosal layer which is where you get the water and electrolyte absorption that helps make your poo solid. The symptoms of it can be different depending on the cause, but here are some that are somewhat consistent between them.
*Abdominal Pain
*Diarrhea
Others can include - blood in the stool, the constant feeling of having to go, abd pain that can come and go with diarrhea.
There are lots of people with UC who require no medications to control it, however others do need meds. The only way to tell if you have this and what kind of colitis it is would be for you to give a doc your history and for him/her to do a physical. It can be something that is very minor, but can also be something severe...although I assume if it were severe in your case you would be shitting blood like water and in the ER.
