If you see a black guy walking down the street and harass him because you assume him to be guilty of something, that is wrong. But, if you see Arabs acting weird on a plane on 9/11, you have to investigate.

I'll tell you what,,IF THEY DON'T..I WILL!!..I aint sitting in my seat twiddlin my thumbs....

good point about "feeding" into the stereotypes.

I had a friend (white guy) who was ok off financially, but he "showed" that he was "ballin" all the time. Big rims on the car, big (probably fake) chains and rings, etc.
Well one day, all this flashing got some really bad attention. in the form of 5 guys in a home invasion. Long story short, he lived....barely. After getting shot 5 times....twice with a shotgun at point blank range.

needless to say, he doesnt flash no more.

That's terrible to hear, but you know it happens and it's unfortunate. It just goes to show that people can't act a certain way and not expect some kind of response. Although 90% of the time it's an ignorant response. It's sad, but people are jealous and always want to take what you have especially if you're always flaunting it or showing off. I used to have some money, all basically illegally, but I never showed it. I never had a car that I couldn't afford with my "legal" money and I never went out and bought expensive clothing, jewelry or anything crazy to make people wonder what I'd have stashed away at my house. I've been robbed, but it was by my friends because they were jealous and actually knew what I had, but never strangers. And as bad as it is, I never blamed my friends, I blamed myself for allowing people to know what I did. I just think people live up to these stereotypes and then wonder how they get stereotyped or profiled
