This is why I use the term "medical cartel" to describe the medical industry in this country. It's been decades since I've met a doctor that seemed to give a damn. All the guys are interested in now is pushing certain drugs. Last summer, my wife's doctor had his son's wedding in the Caribbean paid for by Pfizer. Now rather than showing concern for my wife after a bad stroke, he's spent more time trying to convince me to accept a prescription for Viagra from him than he has looking at my wife. I'm...ahem...unable to take advantage of the benefit of that drug, and he knows it. I called him on that, and he thought I might be interested in having him try to get my insurance company to pay for it so I could resell them to friends since he knew I knew a lot of older guys that live in the nursing home with my wife. I'd expect crap like that from a 20 year-old crack dealer not from a guy with an engineering degree from Ga Tech that later decided to go to medical school and has been a doctor for 35 years.

No kidding Zoom, first let me welcome you, all it is anymore is big business. No one cares about helping anyone. The golden rule of the new mellinium is 'look out for #1' My grandparents are struggling to afford meds. Just not fair. imho

Two things. First, there is a big difference between American Unimed A-50 and the Korean/IP/Denkall crap that is out there. If anyone has actually gotten there hands on a real bottle of Unimed A-50, you would understand what I am talking about. They are so strong you can barely tolerate 1 tab. I believe that I paid $450 for my bottle a couple of years ago, and I felt that was a pretty reasonable price (yes, I have paid $200 for the Korean's in the past, but they don't compare). So that is still about 75% off Walgreens price.

Second, they do this price jack-up also with Anavar and Deca. Any idea why. Why did they bring back both A-50 and Oxandrin to the American market? HIV...

That is why the drugs are back and that is why they are so expensive, because they jack the shit out of the Insurance companies of AIDS patients. By the way, ever look up the price of a kit of Serostim at Walgreens or any other pharmacy? They go for about 4 times what you would pay on the street as well. I think I have seen them as high as $2000 per kit.

I hope to God that everyone with HIV who really needs these medications have insurance companies that will pay for them
