Here you go Bro. I Decided to do a little research.
Normal Serum Albumin (Human) NSA
Human albumin is the most prevalent protein found in the plasma component of blood. It is also called albuminate, plasbumin, buminate, albutein and albuminar. Plasma is collected and pooled by domestic fractionators such as Aventis Behring ****oration, Alpha Therapeutic ****oration, Baxter ****oration, and the American Red Cross Organization. These companies use the Cohn fractionation process to separate albumin from plasma. Albumin is prepared as a sterile solution, contains no preservatives and is treated to prevent transmitting viruses. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates its preparation, distribution and use.
When albumin is administered intravenously, it increases total blood volume by drawing fluid from the extravascular tissues. It offers therapeutic advantages in oncotic deficits and shock. Albumin may be useful in treating acute liver failure, burns, hypoproteinemia, adult respiratory distress syndrome, cardiopulmonary bypass, neonatal hemolytic disease, renal dialysis, acute nephrosis, erythrocyte resuspension, acute peritonitis, pancreatitis, mediastinitis and cellulitis. Adverse reactions to albumin are rare.
Albumin is made in different strengths and different sizes. Atlantic Medical Services carries the following sizes. Call 1(800)238-2228 to order:
