There are plenty of alternatives to whey but you have to put it in perspective of usage.
Nothing at this time replaces whey, especially isolate and hydrolyzed, as a fast protein for pre and post workout.
Having said that, whey was not a good all around protein source (this is a heretical position to the bb norm). Since you are allergic to whey I assume casein is out as well for your diet. Egg protein, both as whole food and powder is the best all around protein, followed by fish and meats.
Soy, for me any way, is not a real option.
It does mean you must eat protein at least 1 hour before workout in order to take advantage of the window as much as possible. Post workout, the window is available, but no where near the availability of fast proteins such as whey isolate, hydrolysed whey, and hydrolyzed casein.
Additional advice is to add amino peptides to the post workout within 20 minutes of workout/
