I have found out I have a allergy to whey protein. :o
I know that whey is the best but are there any alternative supplements out there, any powders, anything? Help is greatly appreciated.

There are plenty of alternatives to whey but you have to put it in perspective of usage.

Nothing at this time replaces whey, especially isolate and hydrolyzed, as a fast protein for pre and post workout.

Having said that, whey was not a good all around protein source (this is a heretical position to the bb norm). Since you are allergic to whey I assume casein is out as well for your diet. Egg protein, both as whole food and powder is the best all around protein, followed by fish and meats.

Soy, for me any way, is not a real option.

It does mean you must eat protein at least 1 hour before workout in order to take advantage of the window as much as possible. Post workout, the window is available, but no where near the availability of fast proteins such as whey isolate, hydrolysed whey, and hydrolyzed casein.

Additional advice is to add amino peptides to the post workout within 20 minutes of workout/

Coldheartbear, thanks for the info. I appreciate your input. I have a problem with dairy products in general, it really sucks! I have to use soy milk...ughh! I usually do eat plenty of red meat, fish, chicken and eggs(cooked or raw). Lately, I have just got plain tired of eating so much food! It just gets plain tiresome. I know I still have to eat lots but some protein supplement would be great. Can anyone recommend a non-dairy alternative supplement product for protein. It doesn't have to be the very best stuff out there just decent. There must be others in my shoes, it's not that uncommon.

what is with that "juiced protein" made buy pinacle its not ion exchange and its supposed to have a better absorption rate and not as hard on your tummy

Sorry Big,
I tend to ignore most companies' "push" and just hope they tell the truth about what ingredients they contain such as whey isolates and glutamine...arginine etc... otherwise I ignore "the miracle" part.

hey just a suggestion........i agree with you though, especially in this business.....scandless mofo's in this industry

juiced protein and juiced creatone by pinnacle is no diferent than regular.actually the taste sucks.

soy is good for your heart but soy lowers test levels ...so does oregano(and some other herbs)

whey is the best postraining and in the morning but since you are allergic you might want to consider amino acid powder or amino acid capsules.

leanbeef ,eggs,tuna,chicken,fish(s) ,salmon,etc
