any experience with Topical Spironolactone (Aldactone)?

As a topical solution it's supposed to be a non-systemic DHT inhibitor for hair loss ... like propecia without the sides. The animal studies showed very little (if any) systemic absorption, and there was even a human test where the subjects had literally 50% of their body area covered with a spiro cream, with no measurable systemic effects.

I want to make a topical solution since I've been fighting shedding the past couple years and trying to find an alternative that works as well as finasteride but without the sides. Anyone have any experience or information on it?

No, I've given up all hope on saving my hair, if I do anything, it will be to have a hair transplant

Mine looks fine really short right now but once it grows out even a little you can see how thin it is. Finasteride did work great, but not even close to worth the side effects, so if this works the way it's supposed to it'd be great. But yeah at least transplants have come a long way...I plan on getting it eventually. I even have a special savings account for it ... only problem is that account also goes to suppliments haha. In the meantime I'm going to try this and I'll keep you guys posted on any results for what it ends up being worth. There's a good bit of info out there on it but no anecdotal posts on bodybuilding forums that I've found. I don't know what that means but I figure from what I have read it's worth a trial run. Call me vain but I want my hair back ... after I hit some big PR's tho Just think ... a shredded tall lanky-ish PL with luxurious hair haha

Yea, if I let my hair grow out, you can really see the bald spot in the back, but if it's short, it's not as noticeable
