Anyone eat pork??
<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->im looking for a few alternatives to go with the standard chicken and beef.

i always thought that pork was very fatty and a poor choice however i have heard a few people say pork steaks are a good lean meat choice.

so anyone for pork and which cut??

and why were at it anyone have any other alternative meat choices that a bodybuilder friendly??

lets list them :chicken:

Some cuts of pork can be lean, but why are you worried about the fat anyway? If it's a healthy pig, the fat isn't bad for you.

LOl I eat pork but usually anything with bone in has fat. I eat pork loin and center chops grilled or baked in oilve oil with paprika, sage, old bay seasoning and garlic minced.

Heck, I'm thawing out some spare ribs to put on the smoker tomorrow. Fat from pasture raised animals is nothing to be scared of, and is in fact good for you. Even the saturated fat, your body needs saturated fat for many thing; construction of cell membranes, the padding of internal organs is primarily saturated fat, lowers lipoprotein a, is needed to assimilation/absorption of Vitamin A, D, E, K and fold soluble minerals such as iron, magnesium, calcium etc.

Personally, I make sure all my food comes from healthy sources, organically grown fruits, veggies, legumes, nuts, seeds; RAW dairy from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows; and meat from pasture-raised animals or wild caught sea animals. Other than that, I don't pay attention to how much of anything I eat, be it fats, or carbs or protein. I still make gains, am less stressed and healthier overall. And I've actually found that eating high quality food allows me to eat less and still get the gains I got eating tons of garbage food before. Besides, NC is the known for BBQ....there's nothing like smoking a boston butt and making some delicious pulled pork!

I've had that question to myself so many times!! I buy lean pork steak. Or, well, it looks lean in comparison to marbled steak. If you have a pork steak, that "looks" like a lean cut, how much fat is really in the cut?
