Have to be careful even when using slin pins. When I injected some peptides the other day, I slightly hit a nerve, pulled out partially then went back in again. Thought I missed it, however, I apparently didn't because when I pushed the plunger in (small dose, water-based, went right in), I immediately felt a heat spread out from the point. When that feeling died down, some of the skin on my arm was numb. It is still mostly numb although it seems like feeling is coming back very slowly. The area affected from one little nerve was about 2 in. wide by 8 in. long, and it is only the skin. Kind of scary that such a large area could be affected by one nerve (well, it seems like one nerve).

it's true, you need to be careful when injecting, however most of those are just cutaneous nerves. You aren't going to hit anything that will make you unable to walk unless you go real deep. I would suggest looking at an anatomy text for the bodypart you are injecting prior to doing it just to familiarize yourself with it. There are a shit load of these nerves all over your body and there are so many variations on each person that an anatomy text won't tell you where yours are necessarily, but it will give you a general idea. And then when you hit one, don't go back in that spot...unless you like it!!!

i lost feeling in a spot on my left delt for about 4 months. It was an immediate numbness in the area that came back slowly and then it stopped coming back and remained a "numb spot" for 3 or 4 months until is was fully back. I did almost exactly the same thing except I moved the slin pin about 1/8" lower and went back in but apparently it wasn't enough... live and learn

I wasn't using a slin pin, but a regular ol' 25g 1" in my chest. I hit a major nerve and pulled out a bit, but the pain went away and I proceeded to inject. Right after pulling the pin out the absolute worst pain shot from my chest to my arm. I think I severed a nerve because I was unable to fully flex my pec for a long time. Still it doesn't flex as hard as the other one. My whole arm was numb as well. Felt like someone hit me on the funny bone for like 3 hours straight. That's where the pain shot through. lol. It's actually not funny, but I guess I can laugh about it now.
