Has anyone else had this done? At my gym they have brought in an outside source with a scanner that scans the fatty area of your palm to see how many antioxidants you are retaining. I've done the scan twice now. One month I was at 28,000 units while using a liquid multi, last month I tried a whole foods viamin for 30 days and scanned and came back with 14,000 units, this month I am trying a different multi.
I talked with the guy that operates the scanner and he told me that the absolute worst scans come from the people using no vitamins and they are typically in the undetectable to 10,000 unit range.
Average is 10,000 to 19,000 and of course the more units the better off you are.
There were a couple of people that scanned in the 50,000 range.
The harder you train, the more free radicals your body produces and more antioxidants are consumed. So for an athlete, this is a good tool. I'll keep ya'll posted on which vitamin produces the best result for me.
