blood test question

if someone is going in for blood tests say for an STD/HIV or infection etc. would they be able to detect anything from the sample that would indicate they were using AAS?

fuck no, of coarse not--were talking about a apples and oranges here. Steroid testing is a complex process that in no way comes close to the testing of HIV

well hiv is blood panel isnt it, if thats the case then i would assume they could tell you might be on something through ur white blod cell volume wich rises doesnt it? or thin blood, im pretty sure with any blood test they might be able to suspect something, but not know entirely unless they test for it specificly, then again im an idiot so who knows

It’s like assuming someone is using AAS because their BP is high...when in reality, they just smoked a cig or just had a blowjob.

ok but were talking about a bodybuilder walking in the office with those signs arent we? The conclusion he is using would be drawn before the test ,lol, let alone once its done and those signs arise! TAKE THAT BIATCH! lol

In a blood panel, you would see some of the "side effect signs," but to detect any AAS in the system, they have to do the specific test for it. They won't do it on a whim because it is too expensive AND to do so in that manner on a suspicion based on a blood panel would be an invasion of privacy. You can also get results that may seem to show use of AAS when in reality it could be the person's own hormones that cause the abnormal readings.

Every blood test is a specific panel. A panel taken without your consent is a violation of your rights as previously stated.

Users of AAS have high red blood cell count, but they couldnt get you just on that because high red blood cell count is also known as a condition called polycytemia ( thickening of the blood due to high red blood cell count which causes clumping and cloting) so in no way without a specific AAS test could they come to the conclusion youre a user from and HIV test.

If they run a panel illegally you press charges and make some loot.

While ur Dr. has your blood you can tell what to test for if it is not what he is originally testing for.. but you have to be told what your going to be tested for and approve that test.. then that test is between you and Dr only... knowone else is too know by law. Infact you have to go to his office to get results 99% of the time unless he bends the law a little and calls you with results..

I was being a little paranoid over nothing. He didn't even draw blood but he did notice my BP was a little high, not much but it was about 130/90. Thanks for all of the replies
