i got a bro of mine running 2 ius of growth and 500mg test E ew for the last 13 months straight. he went to the doctor and they told him his red blood cell count was so high he had to have a pint taken out. he has been having a pint taken out every week for the last 4 weeks and has stopped usage and his count has come down. i know test over time can thicken blood but i didn't think this much. i searched on the forum but didn't come up with anything just wondering your guys thoughts on this

This sometimes happens with HRT so doctors also prescribe a regular time each month to take out blood. The Red Cross told me that when I went to give blood recently.

you cant thicken blood. You can increase clotting enzyems and such but the viscosity changes a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny,.. not worth mentioning tiny amount. Im only mentioning bc someone will shove an abstract showing that it does.

The viscosity of the fluid doesn't change, sure, but having more than the normal count of red blood cells acts to make it "thicker" when all that is being forced through your veins. As I said, some guys on HRT will produce too many red blood cells, and the doctor will prescribe regular phlebotomy to reduce blood pressure.

i have polycythemia vera and when dx'd in 2006 my hemoglobin was 19 when it was supposed to be 11-15.0.. My hematocrit was 56, supposed to be under 48. I was doing theraputic phlebodomies for 6 months. This was before I ever took aas. I had a jak2 study done to confirm polycythemia. Now i try to keep myself SUPER hydrated. Its nothing to play with

yea his hemoglobin was 20 at first..so there is nothing to treat this other then stay off gear and stay hydrated?

theraputic phlebodomies will bring the count down, other than that depending on his age, they dont want to put you on blood thinning medication because it will eventually trick your bone marrow to not make blood. Thats what my hemotologist told me
