EA SPORTS
Brock Lesnar has officially been added to the
EA Sports UFC 4 roster.
The former heavyweight champion, who boasts
a four-star rating on the game, had not appeared in a UFC video game since the inaugural
EA Sports UFC game in 2014. Prior to this, Lesnar was a playable fighter in
UFC 2009 Undisputed and
UFC Undisputed 3 while also serving as the cover athlete for
UFC Undisputed 2010.
In terms of competition, Lesnar (5-3, 1 NC) has not made the walk to the octagon since his decision win over
Mark Hunt at
UFC 200 in July 2016. Not long after, he was flagged for a potential anti-doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition drug test prior to the fight. Days later, he was flagged again, this time from an in-competition test. As a result, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency handed Lesnar a one-year suspension along with a $250,000 fine. His victory over Hunt was also turned into a no contest.
While there were rumors of him returning to challenge former champion
Daniel Cormier in 2018, these plans never came to fruition.
Lesnar is also joined by flyweight contenders
Jennifer Maia and
Askar Askarov, both of whom earned a four-star rating in the new update.
Players can jump into the game until Friday, October 30 to get Lesnar. Additionally, from October 22,
EA SPORTS UFC 4 will open the Octagon to all players with Free Play Days running until Sunday, October 25 at 11:59pm PST.
New Halloween vanity items will come on Oct. 22 and Oct 29, including the Skeleton vanity set, Skulls and Roses shorts and more.
