thats how I do side raises, i dont bend my elbows, I have always done them with my arms staight out with very very little bend in them

As do I, and I tend to keep my thumbs down and pinkies up, like pouring a pitcher of water. It puts crazy stress on the medial heads.

the best way for me to explain how I do em is I look like a bird flapping his wings,lol, kind of,lol, but not realy,lol
