LOL @ Presser it's the principle!! I didn't like either candidate and didn't want either of them to win...it was a lose lose for me, and I didn't find one to be better then the other. 12 million less people voted this year. I am of the belief that our system is pre-determined, as it is you are forced to choose Republican or Democrat (it is a forced 2 party system, they say Independent exists, well where were they during the debates??)

Just like in this case, does the general population really think we should be concerned about cheating in sports, or spending our money the way the gov't does?? Sure you can't make everyone happy all the time, but in our system, only the 2% extremely wealthy are. No one else is content with the way things are being run.

They're never invited to the debates. I forget her name, but the green party candidate was protesting this outside where the debates were held. Populist, Greens, Libertarians, etc... The mainstream media steer far and away from "fringe" parties

Back to the subject matter at hand, the hearings took a larger precident during the housing market collapse. Media complicity at its worst. Again, more fluff and controversy (manufactured outrage) in order to sidestep real issues that truly matter
