Did her school cut music?!

I've been hearing threats about schools having to do that..
To be honest, I think they should cut back on after school activities before they go slashing the arts.
I played clarinet from 5th grade ~ senior year in the orchestra.
It was such nice break during the day to go to band.
I can't imagine that not being offered to kids that really have the desire to play music & may not have the opportunity if their parents can't afford lessons.
One of my relatives gave me piano & violin lessons.
Two of my room mates also play piano & we just came across sheet music for four hands {like 'Heart & Soul'} & it's lots of fun to sit and goof around with another person when you're learning how to play the song..
I get shoved off the bench alot *lol*
Hope you decide to take those piano lessons with your daughter.
It will be a lil while before you both will be able to play a duet, but once you do..
..it will be a very special memory for her to look back on someday~
