Does protein powder spoil or go bad?

Just found a jug that i forgot about, from last year. Gonna try it, but wondered if it goes bad.

i use stuff thats a couple of months old maybe 2 or so but it normally doesnt last that long in my house.

i dont think it would kill you maybe give you the runs

pretty much. if its in a jug, look at the label, should be an expiration date on it. If not most protein is good for a 1 year shelf life

not sure but I would think that like anything else once air hits it, it will start to loose it's potency...might not be a good as the day you bought it

It says expires 6/12. Smelled fine and tasted good.

I have used protein powder that was several years old when I was in a bind and I am still here. I believe it just loses potency like Dorian said.

It did jack my guts up a little, but that may have been from anything that day.

Man I bought a jug from sams club one time and bout threw up when I drank my first drink, I swear it was like drinking spoiled milk
