mine is the same way. And the owner is four ft nothing, and hates everyone who even looks jacked. What a little hater fuck.......

No, I just moved recently and I work out at a pussy gym. Its very nice, its clean has all the equipment you could ever need and then some, but its seriously weak.

I was squatting 475 a few weeks ago and the place literally stopped. Everyone was watching me like I was super human. Its really sad.

ive recently been going to a local gym only becuase they gave me 2 weeks free and their dumbells dont get heavier than 65pounds.. that alone shows they do not support bodybuilding... i cant stand the place for much longer

The local gym around here is about as hardcore as you can get. The owner is a former bodybuilder and there's an enormous amount of bodybuilders, powerlifters, strongmen and cage fighters there. There's plenty of knowledge there as well, it's a great training atmosphere. Dumbbells up to 200#, deadlift platforms, no new equipment in 8+ years, just old shit that's been fixed and fixed and fixed again, but all still works. You can expect to get dirty in there, smells like blood, sweat and tears have been shed there for years. I love it. Kind of reminds me of a gym Rocky would train in

My gym def does support bodybuilding, from the show posters on the front door to the ABC events to the Animal Posters that border the walls. Not to mention Jonflex as our resident champion, there are a lot of serious bbers in the house.. Big UP diesel fitness

That's too bad. You should come back to Gold's. They are very supportive and there's a few of us in there that will bang out plenty of reps with that weight :-) That is still impressive though. I really like my gym. Everyone is friendly, there are a few competitors, wrestlers, and fighters and the equipment is very good.

i sign up pretty much every person that walks in the door, but i always make it a point to call it a fitness center but explain at night time it becomes alittle more than that

we dnt sponser shows but we do support all local shows by advertising wiht posters and word of mouth. we
have a few guys who compete and always have the up and comers asking questions

My gym wants nothing to do with bodybuilding or supporting it in anyway and it's a Gold's. The free weights are in a seperate room from the rest of the gym and is full of broken equipment and half the dumbells don't have a match. It's pathetic. But the rest of the gym is full of the latest cardio equipment and resisitant machines and it has over 25 flat screens with 2 floors. Not a single bodybuilding poster in the place, not even an Arnold. There are plenty of before and after pictures of fat asses that lost a bunch of weight posted everywhere for insperation. Just plain sucks........

^ ^ ^ Damn, that's sad.

I'm lucky in a way I guess. My gym used to be a locally owned business (there were only three of them), but then money got tight, and the owner sold one to Golds, one to 24hr, and kept the last one. Mine became the 24hr gym. The equipment is still the same as before so it didn't get replaced with the typical 24hr weight machines. They don't openly post a lot of bodybuilding stuff that I can see, but they do allow the grunting and clanging that goes with heavy lifting. They know that they have some hardcore guys in there (like me, ha!), and they don't want to lose any customers though they certainly have increased their number of new fitness wannabe's. A couple of their trainers on staff compete regularly.

I go to Lifestyle Fitness and they are pretty indifferent regarding bodybuilding. No posters or advertisements, but there are some guys and a girl or too, that are jacked. Like saud said, grunting, dropping weights, etc is tolerated and understood at my gym as well.

nah my gym is a serious bodybuilding gym and always has posters up for all the new shows coming up, and we also have alot of competitors, there is always someone from our gym doing a show.

So i guess im lucky in that we have a very good bodybuilders gym

Would say my gym i go to is no bigger then 1200 sq. ft. but you can yell, scream, toss DB's all day the owner comes in the morning and opens at 6 and he leaves about 12 noon comes back at 8 pm and closes shop. But you can crank the radio up as loud as you want and get your pump on. All old school equipment but DB's go up to 200lb. and there is a few jacked cats in there. I think one female is a member, no bs.

ive seen a couple of posters in my gym for local bb'ing shows....guess thats more than alot of gyms do.

My Gym sponsors BB shows every year and then donate all the proceeds to The Mississippi School for the deaf & blind, which I think is pretty cool. If any professionals come to Guest pose, then they usually come workout at my Gym.
