Drakkar Klose | Esther Lin, MMA Fighting Drakkar Klose and Jai Herbert will do battle in the first quarter of 2021 inside the octagon.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between the lightweight veterans will take place at the UFC’s upcoming event on Feb. 20. As of now, a location for the card has yet to be announced.
MMA Junkie was first to report the booking.
Klose returns to action for the first time since March, when he was finished by Beneil Dariush in the second round in an action packed fight at UFC 248. Prior to that, Klose had won his previous three bouts, which included wins over Lando Vannata, Bobby Green and Christos Giagos. The 32-year-old is 5-2 inside the octagon.
Herbert, former Cage Warriors lightweight champion, is set to make his second promotional appearance. In his UFC debut, Herbert was stopped in the third round by Francisco Trinaldo at UFC on ESPN 14 in a fight that spurred controversy over the way it was refereed. The loss snapped an impressive six-fight winning streak for “The Black Country Banger.” He now looks to pick up that elusive first octagon victory.
