Im curious... is it better to be taking some other kind of EFA other than flax seed oil as far as benefits are concerned? Right now, I take 2 tablespoons a day... Ive noticed that fish oil is also very popular.
 
But you need to be warry about taking too much fish oil at one time or you get the evil "fish burps." I usually take two grams of fish oil twice a day with a meal. I add ground flax to my oatmeal and I take about 8 - 10 grams of that. I am not suggesting that this is the right mix, only that I can't take more than 4 grams of fishoil.
 
I dont take in fish oil, the blend i take is comprised of borage, evening primrose, and flxseed oil. So i get all the EFA's my body needs.
 
I agree you need to mix it up and you should try and get them through the foods you eat as well. IMO - Nothing is better than taking in the nutrients and vitamins your body needs than getting them in their natural state along with the other synergistic nutrients they are combined with...
 
I prefer fish oil...as a lot of info has come out on flax not converting to EPA/DHA at a decent rate in humans.....especially in males

They also have a product called SEsathin...that is seame based...it is like a super fish oil...good stuff...great for liver and cardiovasular health....AND IS A POTENT ANTIFAT GAIN AGENT......I can vouch it works well.
 
I heard FLAX requires enzyme activity to be really effective and people with low enzyme dont get the full effect. This is why some preffer fish oil and especially borage oil which is a great source of GLA
 
Yes Borage is great for GLA, and its the most potent anti ance EFA outta the bunch so if ya got a probelm with acne make sure your taking your boarge oil.
 
how much fish oil should i be taking? I found out that my dad takes the capsules and he said I could take them... How many should i take a day? normally, i take 2 tablespoons of flax a day
 
Well, fish doesnt contain all EFA's that your body utilizes. There are many more than just omega 3,6,9 that ya get from the fish.
