Long story short I abused steroids for 6 years and ended up with cardiomyopathy. I have decided that with a T level of 300(my doc said no to T replacement) that I would help myself. My last echo had my EF at 55% (Normal)which is up 45% from my low in the hospital. I took 200MG of test cyp not much compared to what i used to take. Do you guys think I am crazy for taking this chance again?

Thats a tough one man! I am by no means an expert but I would think 200mg would just fine to take. Are you doing cardio and other things to keep your heart healthy?

Yeah cardio and I go to the doc for bloodwork every 3 months.

Its hard to say. I mean the cardiomyopathy is not something to mess with. Heart enlargement can be caused by many things , alcohol abuse, blood pressure uncontrolled. I mean was your as abuse just as or did you use other drugs too? You need to follow you Dr.s advice, you shouldn't have to suffer with low test level though. But without knowing you or more info I would say listen to your DR. Maybe you need further healing or just have deep mental issues. Its to hard to say.

I don't think after that health scare I'd take the risk ..depends on your age also and if the ejection factors continue to improve over time. Are you on any heart of bp meds ? I know lots about your situation because I had a roommate suffer something similar..

I agree with what's stated here, but I would think that a normal blood level would help. Your heart doesn't know the difference of a test level of 800ng/dl by exogenous or endogenous testosterone. I would follow what my Dr said closely though.

Whatever you do, just be safe. You already know what to look for, but just don't take anything for granted
